A normal week to cap things off before my festivities. I admit I kinda feel like I’m stalling out here on this, just from how I’ve been approaching things recently. My life’s gotten pretty complicated as of late, thanks in no small part to some annoying things like my job being demanding and draining, and really good things with my personal life shifting some priorities. That all said, I don’t want this to stall out because I’m still dedicated to language learning and Japanese, it’s just been a rough time to push my boundaries or spend a bunch of time on it.
This break, though, is going to be a much-needed recharge for me, and is also coming right before I have a big position shift at work, which is all very exciting for me. This is a good time to get ready to reapproach Japanese with renewed resolve, I think. I’m going to try and dedicate what I’m working on in Duolingo to be a better use of my time when I get back into it, and hopefully will be able to make better headway. I’m feeling much better about hiragana and katakana, all things considered, so launching into it with vigor seems like something I can do and hit the ground running. We’ll see, though. Fingers crossed.
Next week is going to be a skipped blog, though. I have only a finite amount of time to spend with my partner before she has to go home, and I’m not going to be focusing on this project while she’s here, plain and simple. When I get back into it the following week, I’ll sum up what all I did do for next week’s numbers then, which is likely not going to be very much. We’ll see, though. Until then, TTFN.
