This week would normally be an entry written in Spanish, buuuuut this weekend was not very cooperative for that (had major events both days, which impacted my energy levels and time to pretty heavy levels), so I’m calling it an off-week due to outside events. I’m not sure if I’m up for making it up next week, or just calling it a light month for May, I’ll see how I’m feeling when Saturday rolls around again. In the meantime, let’s just go straight into this week’s numbers.

An uneven week, heavily impacted by all the outside stuff. As I mentioned last week, I had Tuesday off of work and treated that like a weekend, then had the great fortune of having three training days again (the short version of why is because all the licensing I’d gone through over the past two and a half months had been finalized and approved, and then I needed our actual company training on using the systems and adhering to policies in order to actually use all those licenses). So that was three days of instructor-led training, which meant my time was monopolized very thoroughly. I opted to cut myself some slack and not worry too much about hitting all my studying goals those days, and thus didn’t get through my normal amount of reading on Wednesday or Thursday, though I fared better on Friday.
Then the weekend hit hard, as I mentioned, and I basically had no time for anything at all on Saturday. Sunday I managed to get my full allotment of weekend studying in, but I was a bit done in from Saturday (one of the joys of being in your thirties: I paced my drinking and never actually got past lightly tipsy, but still managed to wake up with a hangover), so I opted for something that I could just consume, rather than trying to create. And while I’m still planning on finishing Tangled, I really wasn’t feeling it that much this weekend, and knew there was a new (short) season of Castlevania waiting for me that seemed like a reasonable palate cleanser before getting back into Tangled. Just have a few more episodes before that show is done, so I’ll have some thoughts on it as a whole next week, probably.
Diving into next week, things are finally back to actual normal for me at work, all my licensing and training is done and I just have my standard job to do. I’m unsure how long or short I’ll need to settle into the old groove again, but I have a feeling things will largely return to how they were a few months ago, with a slight caveat to that. As can be seen by this last weekend here, my real life is starting to open up again. I’m fully vaccinated, as are most of the people around me, including friends I haven’t gotten to see in ages. It’s easy to stay sharp and dedicated on a major project like this one when you’re living in lockdown time and have nothing to do, but I’m not forsaking the chance to make up for lost time with friends and loved ones just to make sure the numbers go up on this blog perfectly. As such, weekends may become sparse here and there as my free time gets eaten up. Work time isn’t really that under threat from that, though, so it’s hardly gonna be a huge shake-up. There might just end up being weeks that look a lot more like this one in the future.
Anyway, that’ll do for this one, we’ll see how things go from here. TTFN.
