A rather normal week.  I sort of sprinted through the tail-end of my rewatch of She-Ra this week, and god, the show is so good.  Most of the running time on this rewatch was just my second viewing of the episodes, with some minor exceptions (I’ve watched Save the Cat and the finale multiple times now), so I got to view the show through a lens of knowing what was coming, and overall, I think they did a great job with it.  It’s also clear to me in the rewatch that my ability to listen to Spanish has improved as well, because I caught a lot more nuance this time around.  It’s hard to say just how much nuance I really caught, because, like, I’m confined to the level of my own knowledge in the subject, but I at least don’t feel like there was anything unclear or vague this time.  The rewatch also rekindled the desire for me to write some She-Ra fanfiction, so I might get trapped doing that soon.

After finishing She-Ra, I was looking through other shows that I’ve watched and been meaning to revisit, and went back to Little Witch Academia, which has been even longer since I gave it a look, and a few episodes in and that difference in skill is vastly noticeable.  It’s gone from, ‘Well, I think I got the gist, and I can see what characters are doing on screen so I can fill in the blanks okay,’ up to just understanding what everyone’s saying word for word.  I may not blast through Little Witch Academia as aggressively as I tackled She-Ra, but I’m happy to focus on it for now.

I’m continuing to work my way through El Dragón Renacido and don’t have a ton to say on it.  Last Tuesday I had to cut back my reading by half an hour because work was abnormally busy, but other than that it’s been pretty much a steady pace, week in and week out.  These books are long, so I’m just going to be crossing over the halfway mark this coming week.  If nothing else, I can be happy about the consistency of available reading material going forward.

That about covers this week overall.  Next week’s gonna have some irregular numbers, because I work a half day on Christmas Eve and have Christmas off, so I’ll have more treated-as-a-weekend sorts of days.  I’m gonna try to enjoy myself.  TTFN.
