So a bit of a changeup this week, if not in the time spent then in the activities. I finished El Señor del Caos on Tuesday, because, as I always forget, there are lots of appendices and things in the back, so I had just a smidge more book to go when I sat down to read. I then cracked open Gideon la Novena straight away. And of course it’s flashing by at a good clip, because it’s rather brief compared to the doorstops that are La Rueda del Tiempo books. I’m enjoying it so far, the setting is a strange and interesting one.
On the watching front, I seem to keep glancing off Scooby Doo Mystery Inc in favor of longer stuff from Kiwllius, so progress goes slowly with the former. I’m considering whether I’m all that into it enough to keep going, or if it might be a better idea to switch what I’m watching. I got a strong recommendation to give Hilda another chance, which is a series I watched a couple episodes of, got bored, and stopped, but I’m told that I should give it more time, even if I wasn’t super into the beginning. I dunno, switching from one show that isn’t holding my interest very well to one that didn’t hold my interest at the start doesn’t sound the most appealing, but maybe the variety will be nice. Meantime, I am enjoying the Kiwillius series I switched to yet again.
This following week’s gonna be a bit rough for me as I have been saddled with a whole bunch of overtime in my day job so we can hopefully close out the quarter strong, but that shouldn’t impact this project particularly. I get a lot of my reading done at the slower times or on breaks, and the watching is easily slotted in around that schedule, too, so being at work for longer doesn’t really cut into my learning time. I’m just gonna be a bit tired from the volume. Should be fine, though.
Next week’s gonna be the start of October, so we’ll have a chance to look back over September as a whole, until then, TTFN.
