A solid week overall, though a little funky because I ended up taking time off on Wednesday in a semi-unplanned manner. Nothing bad happened or anything, and I did indeed schedule it, I just did so on a whim.  It was good, I’m glad I took it, and the week that’s unfolded since has been nice.

As mentioned last week, I did indeed finish Voltron this week, and oh god, it got so much worse and so much messier than I could have ever imagined. It managed to be a delirious, mostly un-fun slog through all of the worst sort of unplanned writing tropes I could imagine.  It didn’t feel so much like they were chucking darts at an idea wall as they were loading cutlery into a blender and turning it on aimed at one.  The one real positive I could say is that it wasn’t boring, mostly due to the ever-growing morbid curiosity.

With Voltron done, I’m planning on breezing through the short collection of Masters of the Universe episodes, and then I have some decisions to make on what the next step is.  I’ll be crossing that bridge in just a couple days here, probably.

Progress continues on with El Señor del Caos, which I’ve crossed the 2/3rds mark on and creeping toward finishing.  I’ve been enjoying it a lot, but boy are these things long.  I’ll be glad to take a breather next, just to have something a bit shorter to breeze through.

Anyway, that’ll do for this week.  August is closing out right away here, so a bit longer of an entry next time summing up the month, then we’re diving hard and fast into September.  TTFN.
