A decent week. I’m plugging away on Voltron, which thus far I’m enjoying quite a bit. I hear it ends up going a bit off the rails by the end, which is a bit of a shame, but so far so good. I’ll see how I feel on it as a whole once I get to the end, which is still several seasons away. I might also end up taking a break from it pretty soon here, as I believe the new season of Beastars is about to come out, and the furry trash in me may not be able to resist.
I finished El Cielo en Llamas this week, and was all excited to switch back to Memorias de Idhún, went online to buy the next book in the series for my kindle, and discovered it wasn’t available, just as a paperback. SIGH. I’ll be buying the paperback (or digging my way through amazon.es or whatever to maybe find an ebook version outside of the normal Amazon sphere) here so that I have it on hand, but in the meantime went for the next Rueda del Tiempo title, since they’re readily available to buy as an ebook. I am not too chuffed by it, because I quite liked El Cielo en Llamas by the end and am finally feeling pretty into the series. The only real bummer is all of these things are freaking doorstops, so they take forever to read, and Memorias de Idhún books are much shorter, so it would’ve been a breath of fresh air purely from the standpoint of not taking two months to finish.
In other news, I did get back into writing this week (yay!) and also got my corrected social security card from my name change tribulations (double-yay!), so overall I’m feeling pretty great. Hoping to make some good progress on things over the rest of July. TTFN.
omg I feel you on the dejection that I feel when I find out a book isn’t available as an ebook. for me i recently had that experience with battle royale. I figured it’s popular that amazon.jp would have a kindle version but theydon’t. it’s shocking. i wonder if they’ll convert more and more books to kindle in the near future. guess i can track down a physical copy and buy it. for now i will check out the manga since that’ seasy to find.

Yeah, that’s definitely a major bummer whenever it comes up. I don’t mind reading actual physical books, but it’s still a drag because of the lack of instant gratification. I finished a book, and put off buying the next one until the next morning, because it’d be RIGHT THERE in my Kindle in a matter of minutes. But alas.
