Normally this week would be a full content blog that was drafted in Spanish. However, in sitting down to maybe write it this weekend, I didn’t have much that felt like it would make for good content to discuss and felt anxious and stressed over the idea of writing yet another “I don’t have a ton to write about” calorie-free content blogs in Spanish. As part of me reevaluating things with this project and myself, I’m recognizing that I should pay attention to that anxiety and just let things go. That’s what I did and ended up feeling better as a result. I’m not quitting writing blogs in Spanish or anything, I’m just unfettering the schedule on them, so next time I have something to talk about here, I’ll do so in Spanish. For now, though, let’s just jump straight o this week’s numbers.

A normalish week, all things considered. I had Tuesday off as discussed last week and took care of just so many errands and things, which kept it rather busy, then spent the rest of the week more or less as normal.
I finished up Tangled this week, and while I liked it okay, I think it had some definite flaws and shortcomings, and overall felt a little disappointed with the finished product. I know a lot of folks feel kinda down about the big twist that takes up the majority of the third season, and I agree that it wasn’t handled all that well, but to be honest, it feels like the least of the show’s problems. It frequently sagged in its pacing and felt poorly planned overall. I dunno, it was fine, hardly the worst thing I’ve sat through.
After finishing Tangled, I was knee-deep in a longer let’s play from Kiwillius that I’ve been watching, and decided to just continue with that rather than diving straight away into Voltron. I may switch up and add Voltron to the mix in the following week, or I may finish up this playthrough first, all depends on how I’m feeling.
I’m approaching the 2/3 mark on Cielo en Llamas, so it feels like I’m making some actual progress on it. My frustrations with the series have continued, but this stretch of it last week was fairly mild, so I’m not feeling too worn down at the moment. For a bit there, I was seriously contemplating dropping the series after this book and finding something else to read entirely, but now I’m feeling like that decision might be a little hasty. Make no mistake thinking that my voicing of frustration with the series means that I’m hater-reading it, because there are lots of elements about the books that I like. If I didn’t like them at all, I would have just quit a while ago, and the frustrating things wouldn’t have been frustrating, they’d just be fuel for why I quit. The fact that there’s a lot to like in the series makes the parts that bug me all the worse for it. Anyway, I’m game for continuing to give the series a shot for now, but if it swings hard enough back in the obnoxious direction, it may end up seeing itself on the chopping block.
Anyway, that’ll do for this week, hope everyone’s enjoying their summer. We’ve got a stretch of days right around 100 degrees F (38 C) this week, so I’m going to stay inside with the air conditioning. TTFN.
