The Big Wait

It's already time to whine about everything? Must be every day.

(This blog is the English translation of this week’s primary blog, which was originally written in Spanish.)

This week has been strange.

Well, just a little bit, and I don’t know why I feel that way. There were a lot of normal things, I worked on Monday like a normal day, and studied most of the week for the next exam. I’m going to take the exam next Wednesday, and after that, there are only a few weeks before the last exam during the first week of May. These months are different since I need to study and to get licenses for my work, but they’re not that unusual, you know? However, this week doesn’t feel normal to me.

I received the second shot of the vaccine on Saturday. And, ok, before anything else, let’s gooooo! But seriously, the vaccine made me a little bit sick. My arm hurts and I still have a headache a few days later, but that’s it. I need to wait two more weeks before I am fully vaccinated, but I am finished with the injections. I look forward to doing so many things after the wait, and after getting my other two licenses. Again, I have to wait. It seems that life is always a wait. I’m sick of waiting, but what’re you gonna do? I don’t know.

I hate being so morose all the time, but that’s the world these days, it seems to me. I hope everything is getting better. I want to do more than sit at home and surf the internet every day. I want to live again. I’ve been single for so long, too. There may be an opportunity to do the things I want to do in a few weeks, but I’m not sure. I don’t think anyone is sure. Let’s see, I guess. Until then, we have to wait. I hate waiting.

Well, let’s see the numbers for the week, because despite my complaints, life goes on.

A normal week overall. I don’t have much more of Steven Universe, just a few weeks before I complete the series proper, and then I’ll be able to watch the movie and Steven Universe Future. To be sincere, I love Steven Universe. It’s one of my favorite shows in recent years, including She-Ra and The Owl House. I don’t want to finish it, to be honest. But, after finishing it, I think I’m going to give Infinity Train a try, if I can find it.

I’m almost done with Memorias de Idhún: La Resistencia too, I’m going to finish it this week, if there aren’t any issues. Later… I’m not sure if I’m going to read the next one in this series, or La Rueda del Tiempo. This book has been a lot of fun for me, but it’s bothered me a lot as well. I don’t really like the characters, especially Victoria, the only girl. She is very passive and sentimental in a way that puts me on edge. That said, there is a lot to like in the rest of the book, and the style is cute. I like La Rueda del Tiempo too, but the style in that series is a bit stuffy. I like reading something different from time to time. Maybe I’ll read the next book in La Rueda del Tiempo, and the next one from Idhún after that. Again, I’m not sure. We’ll see, I guess.

Well, I don’t have anything else to say this week. The next weeks should be normal, but I think May might have a very interesting start. We’ll see for that, too. Until then, TTFN.
