(This blog is the English translation of this week’s primary blog, which was originally written in Spanish.)
This week was weird. Recently, I decided to alter my plans, because I no longer had the time to read 90 minutes a day. My job was busy due to the pandemic and the extra effort wore me out more and more. So, I switching my reading and watching schedules. It was a good decision and I felt better right away. And we come to this week, and, well, this switch is no longer necessary.
Okay, I owe you an explanation. Last week, before the long weekend, I was trained in something new at work and they changed the type of calls I take. This type is more complex than before, but, importantly, is less busy. I’m still busy, but not as busy, and I have time to read or do other things between calls in the afternoons.
I didn’t change my current schedule this week, because I wasn’t sure that it wasn’t a fluke. Monday was a holiday after all, and there was no guarantee that everything wouldn’t return the next day. But, after seeing the number of calls for the whole week and having some quiet afternoons, I think everything is back to normal again. These types of calls are simply less busy. And thank goodness!
In the coming weeks I’m going to go back to the old schedule, with 90 minutes of reading and 60 minutes of watching, because I have the time to do those things again. I wrote on the topic of needing to acknowledge changes and how to accept them a few blogs ago, but sometimes changes can be reversed. Plus, now I can finish El Ojo del Mundo faster, too. Everyone wins!
That said, I still have some doubts if I can keep this schedule going forward. Work can always change again, and the world is still exploding, you know? I hope everything is fine soon, and the news about potential vaccines sounds promising, but does anyone know anything for sure? I don’t know. I do not know.
Okay, I don’t want to be a killjoy, and there really are a lot of good things in my life right now, but that makes me feel a little guilty. I know I shouldn’t feel like that, but it’s not that easy to stop feeling something, you know? I hope you’re doing well despite the state of the world. Remember to wash your hands!

A good week, as you can see. I watched a lot of Kiwillius videos this week, because I decided to watch a Mario Galaxy playthrough, and that game isn’t short. As a result, there were many saved up videos that I could watch on Sunday, although I still have several more Mario videos. I’m not complaining.
With spare time, I think I’ll finish El Ojo del Mundo in a few weeks. Or maybe not, it all depends on the world and work, but I’m hopeful. I’d like to read something different, including the next book in the series. It’s not that I don’t like this one, because I do, it’s just that after a while, it gets boring reading the same thing. I need new perspectives from time to time.
I haven’t focused on Toki Pona that much, and to tell the truth, I don’t know if I want to or not. It’s also not that I don’t like Toki Pona, by the by, but I feel like I don’t have the energy for two languages. I think I’m going to push myself at it for a few more weeks, really apply myself, and decide what I’m going to do next and whether continuing Toki Pona is worth it. We’ll see.
Next week is supposed to be a break, so there won’t be a primary topic, but the same will be true for the week after. I’m going to have the two breaks because there are four Tuesdays in September this year. The week after’s gonna be a full blog summarizing the month. Until then, I’ll be reading much, much more.
Alrighty, that’s it for this blog, TTFN.
